Digital Day is a national initiative held in Zurich, Geneva, Lugano, Chur and in many other locations with the intention of demonstrating to the public what digitalization means for our country and for each of us.

The first Swiss Digital Day has developed into a major event and is unique throughout Europe. Over 40 companies and institutions will show people throughout the country what exactly digitalization means today and what it could mean in the future. Digital Day takes people and their questions seriously. It will launch a debate about the future by displaying the awesome possibilities that digitalization provides.

The goal of the event is to bring a wide range of people in contact with the effects of digitalization and show them how society, economics, employment and family life is changing as a result of new technological possibilities. The public will have the chance to experience the many facets of the digital revolution first-hand.

Why Switzerland Global Enterprise is participating in Digital Day

Innovation and top digital technologies set us apart, allowing us to spark other companies' interest in Switzerland. At the same, we want to convince more exporters to use technology to grow internationally. This simplifies entry into markets near and far. "Digitization paves the way toward global growth for Swiss SMEs," says Daniel Küng, CEO of Switzerland Global Enterprise. These are the messages that we are sending to the international Swiss economy as part of Digital Day.

Nationwide Digital Day events

During Digital Day, a moderated program of events will take place at Zurich Central Station, touching on topic involving mobility, media, education and employment, technology and innovation, health, and virtual reality. The central stations in Geneva, Chur and Lugano will also be transformed into Digital Day hubs. Many branches and locations of participating partners all over Switzerland will also take up the dialog around digitalization. In these locations, digitalization can be experienced by the public through various events with a range of different focuses.
