The Export Award celebrates the successful internationalization of Swiss and Liechtensteiner companies, and shows how they have successfully positioned themselves in the global economy. The award will be presented by S-GE Supervisory Board Chair Ruth Metzler-Arnold before 600 guests from the Swiss export industry at the Aussenwirtschaftsforum 2018.
The award focuses especially on small and medium-sized companies. The winner's story serves as inspiration for the expansion projects of other SMEs.
New President with many years of international business experience
The independent jury is made up of individuals from the worlds of business, academia and media within Switzerland. In 2018, it will assemble under a new President. Ralph Siegl is Managing Director of Group Management & Operations at the Läderach Group, in whose successful development and internationalization he has played a major role since 2006.
Under the new President, the interpretation of “export” will get a modern revamp: the jury will not only assess the implementation of classic export, but also the general expertise of Swiss companies to integrate into global value chains. It concerns the choice of foreign markets, which hurdles have been overcome on entry and how the company has positioned itself in the individual countries or regions.
Recognition for hidden champions
The Export Award is an opportunity for businesses and their employees to the gain the public recognition they deserve. The award increases prestige among customers and Partners. The three finalists can expect to receive increased media attention and mentions in the business, trade and regional press.
