Poland not only overtook countries in mid and eastern Europe, such as the Czech Republic (27), Slovakia (33), Romania (36), Bulgaria (39) and Hungary (41), it also beat some western European countries, including Portugal (25), the Netherlands (28), France (29), Switzerland (31), Spain (32), Belgium (42), Italy (50) and Luxembourg (59).
The rankings analyze a total of ten aspects relating to the business environment. The World Bank has suggested the following simplifications to legislation introduced by Poland over the last few years:

Liberalizations upon receipt of building permits

Accelerate connection to power networks by eleven days

New mechanisms in insolvency law and creation of central bankruptcy register

Restrictions for fixed-term work contracts
Apart from this, Poland has again taken first place out of 190 countries surveyed with regard to regulations and procedures in foreign trade. According to the World Bank, the tax system and the processes for setting up a company should be further improved.
