Specialist publication “Technische Rundschau” is full of praise, calling this unique drive concept an innovative leap. Word has spread amongst companies using punch presses and Beutler Nova, headquartered in Gettnau, Canton Lucerne, has already sold five presses with SDT technology as they call it and another is on the order books. They allow sheet steel and aluminium to be shaped as desired with hitherto unknown precision. Clients are automobile industry suppliers that use them, for instance, to produce parts for fuel-injection engines. The list of clients also includes universities; they use the new development from Gettnau for research purposes. Since the newly developed drive concept for automatic presses designated the CSC 1000 and the MSC 2000, works without lubrication, it can also be used by other clients in the food industry and producers of medical goods. The major reduction in energy consumption is a strong sales’ argument, especially on the German market.
