Glass is durable, impermeable, hygienic, malleable, aesthetic and natural. That is why it cannot be beaten as packaging material – for food and beverages. Vetropack has been passionate about forming glass for over 100 years. Day in, day out, around the clock.

As part of the corporate strategy, the company focuses on interrelated economic zones in western and eastern Europe. The group has over 3,000 employees. The 8 glass plants have 18 melting tanks in total with a production capacity of over 4,000 daily tons of packaging glass. All the plants are certified in accordance with ISO 9001. The glass plants in Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia and Ukraine also have the FSSC-22000 certificate.

Responsibility for the environment
Vetropack is committed to recycling. Collection organizations are in operation at all locations, either run by the company itself or together with special-purpose associations. They feed old glass into the company's own glassworks for recycling. The conscious handling of raw materials is an important component of ecological sustainability. Furthermore, melting energy is saved by the use of broken glass: For every 10 percent of old glass, 3 percent of the energy and 7 percent of the CO2 emissions are saved.
