René Dörig is an expert in the fish and seafood sector. He graduated from the Hotel College in Lausanne.
He spent various periods of time abroad, worked for the Globus Group and then founded his own firm. For 30 years he has run the company Dörig & Brandl (Comestibles Import). He knows the market and the detail trade excellently well and has very good contacts abroad. Dörig & Brandl has over six sales outlets of its own, and supplies products to butchers and the detail trade. New fish halls are currently being opened and the firm is involved in training and development. Sustainability in the fish sector is a key issue for René Dörig. He has been a member of the SIPPO advisory board since 2008, representing the fish and seafood sectors.
