Roman Füglister graduated from ETH Zurich as a forest engineer. He knows the fruit importing business as well as the domestic fruit market.
During six years he was responsible for the sector of forestry planning at the state forestry department of Obwalden and led the forest district of Kerns-Melchtal. He then followed the call of the family owned business Ch. Füglister AG and changed into the fruit branch. Since 1996 he leads the enterprise as a co-director together with his brother successfully through the highly competitive market of fruit logistics. Beside this he is a co-director and co-owner of fruit plantations in SE-Queensland, Australia. He knows the fruit importing business as well as the domestic fruit market. He has many contacts in all continents and speaks five languages.
During his spare time, he practises different sports such as sailing, climbing and rafting.
Roman Füglister has been a member of the SIPPO advisory board since early 2012, representing the fruit sector.
