Ferrari has agreed a partnership with Velas Network AG spanning several years, further details of which can be found in a press release. The Zug-based blockchain firm will develop exclusive digital content for fans of the Formula One racing team Scuderia Ferrari.

Among other plans, the partners intend to jointly launch a range of NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens). With NFTs, labels can be assigned to virtual goods, which in turn allows these to be collected and traded as unique objects.

Moreover, Velas will be designated as the title sponsor of the Ferrari eSports Series, while Ferrari’s own eSports team will additionally be sponsored by the start-up based in the Greater Zurich Area.

“We are pleased to start this collaboration with Velas Network AG, a company that makes innovation and performance the hallmark of technologically advanced products and services”, comments Mattia Binotto, General Manager and Team Principal of Scuderia Ferrari, in the press release.
