Roivant Sciences was nominated by the regional economic promotion agency BaselArea.swiss for its commitment in the life sciences and innovation hub Basel. The biotech company opened its global headquarters in the city of Basel, Switzerland last year and plans to create 500 new jobs over the next 5 years. Basel’s top talent pool was one of the key drivers for Roivant Sciences to invest in the region.

The Award ceremony was held in conjunction with Bloomberg in New York on September 26th 2017 during the event “Inspiring Innovation”, which featured three panel discussions about the next generation of financial technologies driven by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the blockchain technology. The Award was presented by Ambassador Andre Schaller, Consul General of Switzerland in New York.

Initiated by Switzerland Global Enterprise, the Tell Awards were established in 2004, and previous winners include Abbott, Biogen, Fossil, Sigma-Aldrich, Disney Research, Medtronic, Microsoft, eBay and Google.
