The Federal Customs Administration now wants to wait for the political debate to take place before communicating a further course of action. The amendment to reduce the rectification procedure deadline from 60 to 30 days, communicated in the spring of 2017, will therefore not enter into force from October 2017. “Until further notice, customs offices will assess rectification applications in line with current practice,” writes the EZV.
Customs: new process for rectification procedure postponed
The communicated amendment of the rectification procedure pursuant to Article 34 of the Customs Law has been postponed, and will not be introduced on October 1, 2017 as planned. This is due to a political process.
