One of Komax’s strategic objectives is to develop sales markets outside the automotive industry. The new major order from the aerospace sector shows that the company has now reached an important milestone.

The order, which is in the low double-digit-million range, will see Komax deliver several large automated wire processing systems between 2018 and 2020 to the unnamed customer. According to Komax, such a high level of wire processing automation in the aerospace industry is unique up to now.

“This project is only possible thanks to successful partnerships with experts in various fields who have a great deal of knowledge and outstanding applications for individual process steps,” said Matijas Meyer, CEO Komax Group. “Combining the individual strengths of these partners has enabled us to achieve this milestone.”

The systems will be based on Komax’s serial production machines, which have been approved for the aviation industry. Another key component is the laser applications by Laselec, which belongs to the Komax Group.

Komax is a globally active technology company that focuses on markets in the automation sector. It is headquartered in Dierikon.
