The health portal Healthi specializes in corporate health management, digital customer management in the insurance sector and related bonus programmes. The Basel-based eHealth provider Visionarity intends to continue the platform under its brand name, allowing its customers to benefit in the future from the advantages of combining the Visionarity and Healthi platforms under one roof.
“With this acquisition, Visionarity is one of the leading providers in the emerging European eHealth market,” said Visionarity CEO Kolja A. Rafferty. “We are especially pleased that Healthi will allow us to expand the development of digital customer management in the eHealth field in the European context from Switzerland even further.”
The acquisition is also the “best preparation for our forthcoming Series B financing round and a strong argument for potential investors,” Rafferty added.
Visionarity AG’s original business idea was to motivate people to save energy by using playful incentives or gamification. While the Basel-based software developer only had its breakthrough with its eHealth market concept, gamification continues to be one of the core elements of its products.
