Finland-based Suunto has a long heritage in building robust sports watches famous for their precision, while Myotest is particularly known for the breadth and depth of its biomechanics, with proven track record in the professional athlete market. The two companies have decided to combine their unique expertise and to embark on a partnership to help people achieve their performance goals confidently.

“We are delighted to start a collaboration with Myotest to deliver great added value to our consumers in the future”, said Sami Männistö, Director of Suunto Products, in a press release. Myotest CEO Christophe Ramstein added that the world of running “deserves better digital solutions, in particular better analysis and interpretation of how people run and how they can run better and faster.”

The Ark: promoting new technologies in Valais

Myotest is a pioneering SME based in Sion, in the Swiss canton of Valais, focused on athletic and human performance assessment. Founded in 2004 by Patrick Flaction, at the time trainer to the Swiss ski team, it quickly joined The Ark’s incubator in Sierre, where it developed its first product and laid the foundations for its commercial development. The incubator also helped Myotest to establish a business structure suitable to attract private investors, who continue to support the company in its international development.
