BC Platforms’ vision is to build the world’s leading analytics platform for healthcare and industry by 2020, providing access to genomic and clinical data from more than five million people. The company consolidates this data from a global network of biobanks by entering into partnerships. The platform enables the analysis and easy management of data.
The Basel company has now partnered with Google Cloud, as was reported in a press release. This collaboration with BC Platforms will bring about the integration of the platform in Google Cloud, which will enable better access to data for pharmaceutical companies and hospitals. Making data available in this way will lead to new insights in precision medicine. It will also enable cost effective and actionable patient reports based on genomic data.
Jonathan Sheffi, product manager for Biomedical Data at Google Cloud, is confident that the integration of technology capabilities will facilitate the adoption of genomics both in clinical and research settings.
