MoisturePro improves yield while reducing energy costs and the environmental footprint of thermal processing in the food and feed industry.

“Leveraging the power of the Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud technology we can make our expertise available to our customers at every stage of the drying process and drive real change,” Paul McKeithan, Head of Digital Services at Bühler, said in a press release. “It saves them money year after year”.

Moisture sensors in the MoisturePro measure a product’s moisture content during the drying sensor, and the data is relayed in real-time to the dryer control software. In comparison to traditional methods, the new digital service reduces moisture deviation and achieves optimum moisture content, writes the process engineering company from the St.GallenBodenseeArea. Moreover, analysing real-time data supports confident decision-making during the drying process.

Digital technologies have driven “huge improvements” in quality and efficiency, added McKeithan. “Now, we are leveraging connectivity to drive the next revolution.”
