Post-acquisition, SoftwareOne will “support clients with the optimisation and management of software worth more than 10 million euros”, writes the Nidwalden company in a statement.
The partners have agreed not to disclose any information on the purchase price of 100 per cent of the Comparex shares from former owner Raiffeisen Informatik GmbH.
With the merger, SoftwareOne will have more than 200 offices in 88 countries, but its headquarters will remain in Stans in Nidwalden. Comparex’s Leipzig office will “continue to play an important role in looking after global and EMEA customers”.
“The software and services sector is moving towards a subscription-based business model,” commented Dieter Schlosser, SoftwareOne Executive Board. “The digital transformation is driving this change and increasing the demand for cloud services.”
The acquisition of Comparex will strengthen SoftwareOne’s global presence and portfolio.
