Montana Tech Components is planning to list its aluminum packaging business division on the SIX Swiss Exchange this quarter, according to a press release. Headquartered in Reinach in the canton of Aargau, the industrial group expects that the public offering will generate targeted gross proceeds of around 140 million euros, which will be invested “primarily to expand production capacities in Europe.”
“Based on the past and expected business growth, as well as inquiries from our international customers, we aim to further expand our strong operational platform with additional production sites,” said Igor Arbanas, CEO of Aluflexpack AG. “These would ideally perform final production steps in our strategic markets and be situated close to our customers.”
As with the successful listing of its subsidiary VARTA two years ago, Montana Tech Components plans to hold a majority stake in Aluflexpack in the long term.
According to Michael Tojner, CEO and majority owner of Montana Tech Components, the company plans to invest “significant resources in the holding’s Aerospace division over the next few years.” While Aluflexpack should self-finance via the stock exchange, Tojner added that by “holding the majority, we offer customers and employees a stable core shareholder.”
