Founded in 2016 with its headquarters in Brugg, Naviswiss AG develops and produces miniaturized surgical navigation systems. The purpose of these systems is to precisely determine to the millimeter any changes in the length of limbs during artificial hip implantation procedures. This serves to simplify processes during operations, improve quality and cut costs.

The company has now announced that it has raised a total of 5 million Swiss francs in a fifth round of financing, which was led by private Swiss investors. The capital is intended to drive forward product development, while it should also facilitate entry to both the US and Japanese markets

At the start of November 2019, Naviswiss opened an office in Denver, Colorado. Prior to this, the company had applied for clearance from the FDA, the US regulatory authority, for its Total Hip Replacement navigation system.
