SoftwareONE invested in InterGrupo last year and has now agreed to acquire the remaining 60 percent share in the Colombian company, as was reported in a press release. InterGrupo is a specialist in application modernization and cloud technology solutions. In this context, InterGrupo has developed the Cloud Software Factory, a product that SoftwareONE will now use.
“This acquisition highlights the strategic importance of a global practice in application modernization with hyperscalers, such as AWS, Google and Microsoft,” said Dieter Schlosser, CEO of SoftwareONE, in the press release. “This helps our 65,000 customers on their journey to the cloud not only from an infrastructure point of view, but also regarding their existing applications.” SoftwareONE expects the transaction to be closed at the beginning of 2021.
InterGrupo has more than 1,400 employees and achieved the equivalent of around 35 million Swiss francs in gross profit in the twelve months leading up to June 2020. The two companies have already been working together closely in recent months. “I am certain that being an integral part of SoftwareONE will benefit our employees and more so allow us to empower our customers worldwide for their digital transformation, through innovative technologies, extending from cognitive computing, blockchain, IoT, advanced analytics to cloud,” commented Darío Solórzano, founder of InterGrupo.
