To this day, eight buildings for a total of 54,000 square meters have been constructed at the Biopôle.

In response to the growing demand for laboratory, office and services space, Biopôle SA has launched a request for proposals to build premises to accommodate numerous new companies dedicated to research as well as to the development and marketing of solutions in the life sciences field.

"Life sciences are a real asset for the canton of Vaud and the Swiss economy. Today, a number of local and regional initiatives are aimed at supporting the creation and establishment of new start-ups in the region. Of course, the Biopôle offers modern and high quality infrastructures, but we go far beyond that by offering a dynamic ecosystem and a supportive community network of entrepreneurs that makes all the difference. Through this new project, we are delighted to be able to support the expansion of existing companies as well as welcome new companies on our site," explains Nasri Nahas, CEO of Biopôle SA.

The three new buildings will be built according to Minergie®-P standards, with wood-frame façades and surrounded by vegetation, in line with Biopôle's desire to promote natural ecosystems in urban environments. Since 2019, the Biopôle has been awarded the Nature & Économie label.

A continuous expansion in the heart of the Health Valley

Located in the heart of the Health Valley and in continuous expansion, the Biopôle now counts about 2'000 employees working for more than 100 companies and research institutes located on the campus.

The Biopôle is a dynamic community of entrepreneurs and scientists, in which nearly 70% of the entities collaborate with each other.

To this day, eight buildings for a total of 54,000 square meters have been constructed at the Biopôle since the first building was erected in 2009.
