The Cologne-based medical services firm BetterDoc will serve the Swiss market from Basel. The company has opted to establish a presence in the city, according to information from the investment and innovation promotion agency Basel Area Business & Innovation.
BetterDoc is an online medical service. It aims to help patients find the best specialist doctor for their particular health issue. To this end, BetterDoc has developed a “globally unique” system on the basis of data analysis that offers patients at least three suggestions by combining human and machine intelligence processes.
BetterDoc has been active in Switzerland since 2018. It has now opted for Basel as a business location due to the fact that “the city is the Mecca of the healthcare industry”, the press release explains. The region offers a unique life sciences ecosystem including qualified specialists, excellent connections and a high quality of life.
