Montana Aerospace is planning to conduct an IPO in the second quarter of 2021 on the SIX Swiss Exchange, details of which can be found in a press release. The company expects to raise gross proceeds of 400 million euros from the IPO. According to the information available, two international institutional investors have already agreed to subscribe for shares amounting to 113 million euros as part of the IPO.
Montana Aerospace proposes to use this fresh capital to finance future growth steps. Among other aspects, customer, technology and product portfolios should all be expanded.
Montana Aerospace supplies systems components to companies operating in the aerospace, electromobility and energy industries. It specializes in critical parts made of aluminum, titanium and composite materials in addition to complex steel and copper components.
The company is headquartered in Reinach in the canton of Aargau and employs 4,800 staff around the world. It operates 28 locations in 14 different countries. Montana Aerospace also forms part of the Reinach-based group Montana Tech Components, which has spawned listed-companies including Varta and Aluflexpack. According to information in the press release, Montana Tech Components intends to retain its majority stake in Montana Aerospace even after the IPO, just as it has done in the cases of Varta and Aluflexpack too.
