Crayon seeking Swiss growth

Norwegian IT service provider Crayon is looking to strengthen its Swiss subsidiary. The Altdorf headquarters of Crayon Switzerland are to be expanded. Moreover, expansion plans have been drawn up for Western Switzerland too. The number of employees is set to jump from 40 to 100.

Crayon Switzerland is planning to expand its headquarters located in Altdorf in the canton of Uri. According to an article published in the newspaper “Luzerner Zeitung”, the company intends to move into the existing building of the Cantonal Bank of Uri near Bahnhofplatz in 2022. The new office space covers an area of 1,000 square meters, which is nearly three times as large as the current headquarters.

According to Rolf Stadler, CEO of Crayon Schweiz, Altdorf and the canton of Uri offers an “ideal environment”. He highlights in particular the proximity to Zurich in addition to the high quality of life and leisure time in the region.

According to a report by the portal, Crayon Switzerland is also planning to open a new location in Western Switzerland. The company’s aim here is to expand its workforce in Switzerland over the medium term from 40 employees to a total of 100 members of staff, with the majority expected to work out of the Altdorf location.

At present, Crayon Switzerland is focusing on cloud services. In this field, the company is keen to position itself among the leading service providers across Switzerland. At the same time, however, Crayon Switzerland is in the process of building a team to cover the area of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
