Travelcoup Deluxe wants to make “travel an experience again during challenging times”, according to a press release issued by the start-up based in Sarnen in the canton of Obwalden. To this end, Travelcoup Deluxe operates a seat-only sales policy for package tours to vacation destinations in the Mediterranean in a private jet. Last year, connections departing from Zurich could be booked.
This summer, Travelcoup Deluxe will be offering connections leaving Frankfurt, Munich and Düsseldorf in the direction of vacation hotspots such as Mallorca and Ibiza, according to the press release. The summer flight schedule will additionally offer two connections per week departing Munich and Frankfurt for Nice. Moreover, the travel start-up is including two connections per week between Munich and Venice in its updated flight plan. Package tours can be booked from Zurich to Mallorca, Ibiza, Nice and Amsterdam.
“Travelcoup Deluxe offers a business model unique across Europe: package tours in a private jet with seat-only sales – in this way vacations and flights will finally be transformed into a real experience again”, explains Niclas Seitz, CEO of Travelcoup Deluxe, in the press release. For Seitz, the expansion to Germany represented “the next logical and strategic step” on the back of a successful launch in Switzerland last year. In addition, the company is pursuing ambitious growth plans, according to Seitz. In this context, routes and frequencies are to be doubled “within the first year of operations if possible”.
