Schindler has launched the next generation of its building transit management solution by the name of Schindler PORT 4D on the market. The latest version of this existing solution includes an integrated smartphone app developed internally.
According to a press release issued by the company based in Ebikon in the canton of Lucerne, Schindler PORT 4D reduces the energy consumption of an elevator group by up to 40 percent. Moreover, functionalities such as facial recognition, robotics and digital entertainment can also be integrated. In this way, hardware and software interfaces allow architects and planners to control the who, when and where aspects of building access and internal transit, in addition to determining when digital entertainment is played.
“Buildings are built for people”, explains Florian Troesch, who is responsible for transit management solutions at Schindler, in the press release. He adds: “With Schindler PORT 4D we make buildings even more appealing, eco-friendly and easy to access”.
