Komax upgrading its headquarters

The technology firm Komax is bundling its Swiss activities at its headquarters in Dierikon. To support this process, the company has now purchased property immediately adjacent to the headquarters. This new space also offers potential for additional growth.

Komax has purchased real estate from the elevator manufacturer Schindler, further details of which can be found in a press release. This land is located immediately adjacent to the Komax headquarters in Dierikon in the canton of Lucerne and contains both production facilities and office space. Komax is therefore taking another step forward in its efforts to upgrade its headquarters after moving into a new building in Dierikon at the beginning of 2020. The technology company will now be in a position to bundle its Swiss activities at the location in Dierikon, with plans now also in place to sell the location in Rotkreuz in the canton of Zug.

Before that, however, Komax will first renovate the newly acquired production and office space. The required work will take nine months to complete, after which time Komax will rent out part of the building as it does not currently need the entire area. The new property offers potential for further growth not only in terms of the building itself, as an area covering a total of 6,400 square meters is still undeveloped. Komax has therefore created “an opportunity for further growth at its largest production and development site worldwide”, the press release explains.

Komax develops solutions for wire processing that are required to automate processes. This supports production processes in the automotive industry, for example. The company operates worldwide and employs around 2,000 staff.
