The French business school INSEAD has published this year’s Global Talent Competitiveness Index (GTCI). This examines the competitiveness of 134 countries for specialists. Switzerland has once again come top of the ranking list. It is followed by Singapore and the USA.
Switzerland scores with educational system and stability
The ranking list is compiled on the basis of several categories. According to this, Switzerland offers the best vocational training system. It is also rated as world-class for university education. Switzerland additionally scored well with regard to its economic conditions and political stability.
Skilled workers come and stay
The results show that Switzerland is not only able to attract skilled workers but also to keep them. It came in first place globally in the respective category. It is not just the high quality of life and social protection playing a role here; according to the report, ecological and economic sustainability are becoming more and more important. Switzerland is working hard in this regard.
Commitment to sustainability paying off
Felipe Monteiro, Academic Director of the GTCI, comments in a press release on the report: “Top-ranked countries such as Switzerland and Singapore are speeding up their transition to a sustainable and future-proof economy.” He adds that Switzerland is strengthening its position as a leading country in the area of sustainable finance in particular.
