Abacus introduces card for real-time accounting

Abacus from the canton of St.Gallen will be launching a new Debit Business Visa Card at the end of March. The free card applies Yapeal’s technology. This allows transactions to be processed in real time. Abacus is also becoming the biggest shareholder in the financial services provider.

Abacus announced in a press release that it is introducing a Debit Business Visa Card. This is based on technology developed by the Zurich-based digital financial services provider Yapeal and has the big advantage of allowing payment processing to occur in real time.

With the solution “fully integrating accounting and archiving”, payment transactions can be simplified. Customers can complete payments and transfer more swiftly and in a paperless way. Manual entries would be a thing of the past with this intelligent accounting system. The abolition of card and foreign currency fees will benefit customers.

For Abacus, the planned introduction of the card at the end of March is timed to coincide with its greater investment in Yapeal. The owner-run software companies from the St.GallenBodenseeArea will become the biggest shareholder as a result. Yapeal will improve its market potential in the B2B segment through the addition of Abacus’ 60,000 customers.

Claudio Hintermann, CEO of Abacus, announced that the “pioneering technology” will support Abacus customers through implementation in the latest generation of Abacus deep software and at swiss21.
