The companies SwissBeam from Rudolfstetten and Bütler Elektro Telecom based in Muri, as well as ERNE AG Holzbau from Laufenburg, all in the canton of Aargau, have been named as the winners of this year’s Aargau Business Award, which is organized by Aargau Cantonal Bank (AKB) and the Aargau Trade Association (AGV). The three winners each received a prize of 7,000 Swiss francs. In total, the AKB and AGV handed out prizes worth 39,000 Swiss francs overall, as detailed in a press release.
The jury evaluated the entrepreneurial performance of the applicants in a multi-stage selection process. In addition to key financial metrics, it also took account of factors such as customer orientation, specialist knowledge, sustainability and “passion for entrepreneurial challenges”.
SwissBeam AG won in the category for small companies with up to 20 employees. The company specializes in electron beam welding of metals. “The fascination for electron beam welding among the employees is palpable and drives them to achieve top performances time and again”, the press release explains.
In the category for medium-sized companies with 21 to 100 employees, it was Bütler Elektro Telecom AG that ultimately emerged victorious. The electrical company regards its 80 specialists as its most important asset and accordingly invests in their training and further development in a targeted manner.
ERNE AG Holzbau combines the sustainable material of wood with cutting-edge technology such as digital planning and production processes. As such, the winner in the large company category is regarded as “one of the most distinguished providers of building solutions in the areas of prefabricated, modular and hybrid construction”.
