The Valora Group with headquarters in Muttenz in the Swiss canton of Basel-Country has ordered a total of 130 innovative snack vending machines from Invenda according to a report on startupticker.ch. These are fitted with a touchscreen that clients can use to search for the desired goods and pay together at the end. Member of the Executive Board Roger Vogt explains in the report that tests with the vending machines have been received very well by clients.
The retail group specializing in convenience concepts and own brands plans to extend the time availability of its products with the snack machines. Furthermore, the fact that the vending machines can be linked to the Internet of Things played a role in Invenda’s choice. This facilitates machine management.
Invenda Founder and CEO Jon Brezinski states in the report that Valora’s order is the first large contract in Switzerland for his company, which specializes in automated retail solutions and is based in Alpnach in the canton of Obwalden. He adds: “I am delighted that we have been able to attract such a large, international player with our smart vending machines.” Invenda was established in 2017 and is active internationally. Its clients already include technology companies such as Microsoft and Intel plus well-known names like Coca-Cola, Mars Wrigley, and Lindt&Sprüngli.
