On May 12, Quickpac celebrated the official opening of its new depot in St.Gallen. The warehouse facility situated on the premises of Emil Egger AG is the fourth Quickpac depot for parcel deliveries by electric vehicles across German-speaking Switzerland. From here, the subsidiary of the private mail service provider Quickmail, headquartered in St.Gallen, delivers parcels throughout the cantons of St.Gallen, Appenzell Innerrhoden, Appenzell Ausserrhoden and Thurgau, further details of which can be found in a press release.

“Economically innovative St.Gallen has now also gone green in the parcel industry with Quickpac and electric parcel delivery”, explains Maria Pappa, Mayor of St.Gallen, in the press release. She was responsible for overseeing the official opening of the new depot.

With its new depot in St.Gallen, Quickpac’s reach now extends to half of all households in the German-speaking region of Switzerland. By the end of the year, the parcel service provider intends to further expand its network and open further collection points in Bern and Lucerne. According to the press release, this would then allow Quickpac to cover 70 percent of all households in German-speaking Switzerland.
