On the occasion of the 33rd edition of the Trophées CCIFS, a jury of experts selected nine winners in different categories. Among them, MobyFly won the “Innovation” category, with a prize awarded by BNP PARIBAS.

As for WattAnyWhere, the start-up has once again highlighted the relevance of its solution and won the Prize of the Jury.

MobyFly’s fast, high-performance, zero-emission hydrofoil boats

Based in Collonges (canton of Valais), MobyFly is a technology company whose mission is to develop hydrogen or electric transport boats. These boats are equipped with foils (a kind of fin) that allow them to navigate out of the water and gain in performance. From a certain speed, the design of the foil creates a depression/overpressure that lifts part of the hull. Freed from the friction of the water, the boat accelerates and reaches peak speeds of up to 70km/h.

MobyFly’s innovative technology was already awarded in Osaka in 2022, and the start-up won the prize in the “Innovation” category at the 33rd edition of the Trophées CCIFS.

WattAnyWhere’s fuel cell that converts renewable ethanol into electricity

Based at the Energypolis campus in Sion, WattAnyWhere has developed a unique solution featuring a mobile generator that uses solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) to convert pure renewable ethanol into 300 kW of electricity through a chemical reaction. The generator is quiet, produces zero emissions and is fully functional anywhere in under a month.

After receiving a CHF 100’000 loan from FIT in 2022, the jury of the 33rd edition of the Trophées CCIFS has chosen to distinguish WattAnyWhere by awarding it the Prize of the Jury.
