According to a press release issued by the Exentis Group from the canton of Aargau, the 3D printing firm that specializes in the area of industrialized additive manufacturing has generated sales of around 10 million Swiss francs overall in the first half of 2022. This equates to growth of 4 percent year on year. Having sold seven development and production systems, the company actually sold two more systems in the reporting period than in the whole of 2021, according to the press release. The group can therefore look back on its “most successful first half-year in corporate history”. The company offers a leading proprietary 3D technology platform that enables large-scale industrial manufacturing.
Exentis posted EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) of 1.2 million Swiss francs, 12.4 percent up on the same period of the previous year. For the current half-year, the internationally active company expects the positive business momentum to continue in spite of “uncertainties in conjunction with the developments in Ukraine, which cannot be predicted at this time, and the looming energy crisis in Europe”, the company writes in the press release.
In this context, the company can rely on 3D production systems that have already been ordered but not yet delivered to customers, among other aspects. According to Exentis, the future revenue from these orders still to be recognized in the company accounts is already in the mid-single-digit million range.
