Founded in 2007, Stadler Blechtechnik AG is building a new headquarters just a stone’s throw from its current site in Au in the canton of St.Gallen. “The new headquarters should provide a basis for further growth and to optimize production activities”, claims CEO Urs Stadler in a corresponding press release issued by i+R Industrie- & Gewerbebau AG. The construction firm was hired by Stadler Blechtechnik as the general contractor for the new headquarters.

At present, Stadler Blechtechnik employs ten staff in the area of production and a further five in administration roles. The new headquarters will offer space for up to ten additional employees. The plans include a three-story production hall, where the upper floors will mostly be rented out. In addition, there will be a five-story office area and an underground car park with a total of 47 parking spaces.

In terms of sustainability, the focus at the new headquarters will be on air source heat pumps for heating, cooling and hot water, while flat green roofs and a photovoltaic installation with a peak output of around 200 kilowatts are also in the pipeline. Construction activities are expected to be completed by April 2024. “We have an ambitious timeframe for this project, for which we need to implement a closed dewatering system in the basement and build a 40-meter retaining wall for the entrance to the underground car park”, as Daniel Herzog, i+R project manager, explains in the press release.
