Clariant‘s latest ingredients are influenced by the acquisition of a selected personal care portfolio from the Indian company Vivimed Labs Limited, and the Basel-based company is now bringing the benefits of the Asian beauty industry to the rest of the world.

The latest ingredients for skincare products contain organic UV filters, skin brighteners, cooling actives and anti-ageing solutions, writes Clariant in a statement. It also now offers haircare products that prevent dandruff and promote hair growth.

The market for personal care products is receptive to Asian influences, says Ralf Zerrer, head of strategic marketing at Clarion. By acquiring the personal care portfolio from the Indian company, Clarion is now in a good position to extend its portfolio and offer its customers all-round solutions for every need.

Clariant is putting particular emphasis on sun care products and now offers UV-B filters that are practically odourless and compatible with most cosmetic ingredients. It also has special UV-B filter suitable for water-repellent and water-resistant formulations. jh
