Organized by the leading event and marketing solutions company Northstar Travel Group, Mountain Travel Symposium (MTS) is the largest and longest running annual gathering of mountain travel professionals in the world. It has taken place each spring in North America for over 40 years. The company has now decided to launch a European edition of the event, and has chosen Switzerland as the host country. 200 senior executives from the international mountain travel industry will gather in Crans-Montana, in the heart of the Valais Alps, on 10-12 January 2017, to discuss the industry’s critical opportunities, issues and challenges.

"We are thrilled about the launch of the first European Mountain Travel Summit (EMTS)”, said Bob Sullivan, President of Northstar Travel Group. "Known for reliability, punctuality, political and economic stability, authenticity and stunning nature, Switzerland provides the essential backdrop for the event's debut.”

The organization of EMTS will allow Crans-Montana to consolidate its position as a leading mountain resort among travel industry thought leaders.
