Leica Geosystems has now launched Leica iCON site 3.5 and Leica iCON build 3.5, according to a statement from the measurement technology company. Headquartered in the St.GallenBodenseeArea, Leica's two software products are designed for measurement work at construction sites. iCON site is for use within the heavy construction industry around earth moving and infrastructure applications, and iCON build is for building construction applications.

With the new version of iCON site, navigation in the software has become easier. In addition, machines used at construction sites can be controlled more efficiently by means of localisation processes. Additional data formats are also supported.

The new version of iCON build offers improved layouts of the building under construction. Users can load complete Building Information Modelling (BIM) data to immediately begin a layout. Colour coding means that users can easily distinguish between individual trade’s data sub-sets.
