By establishing a forum to exchange knowledge and collaborate in technology and regulatory areas, the aim of the new association is to capitalize on the synergies between medtech and pharmaceutical industries and to promote product development and innovation.
The foundation of an association helps the Medtech & Pharma Platform to extend its activities beyond the annual conference which had its first meeting in 2014. Among other things, the founding members aim to strengthen advocacy work for companies to reduce time to market for drugs, devices and combinations thereof, improve access to innovative products, better match patients' needs and expand business opportunities for both industries.
