Netcetera, one of the largest software companies in Switzerland, knows exactly what companies need in these fast-paced times. The goal of digitization is to make day-to-day work easier. In order to achieve this goal, Netcetera CEO Andrej Vckovski relies first and foremost on having the right staff: "An engineer always has the goal of simplifying things. This is why we have many engineers working on development. But people with other skills are necessary as well, for instance project managers or user experience specialists, in order to develop a well-rounded offer for the customer," says Vckovski.
Digitization is a megatrend that's going to last
"Every company has to deal with the megatrend of digitization, whether they're small businesses or major corporations," says Vckovski. At first, digitization affected primarily the service sector, but today even a more traditional sector such as agriculture has to keep up with growing productivity demands as well.
What digitalized processes do for Swiss companies
Digitization, and particularly the networking of processes, can support companies in meeting demands such as:
-
continually improving productivity in all work processes throughout the entire lifecycle of a product or a service
-
keeping all distances short (from the idea to the product and through to its sale and maintenance)
-
finding even more direct ways to plan for and respond to customer needs
-
streamlining and accelerating complex administrative processes.
"Optimizing processes is the key to maintaining your company's competitiveness. Digitization can help to make products and processes more efficient. But it's also a matter of optimizing your company structure with digital solutions," says Vckovski.
