Abu Dhabi Global Markets (ADGM) supports fintech companies in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The Zurich-based Swiss Finance + Technology Association (SFTA) does the same in Switzerland.

Now, ADGM and SFTA have entered a partnership agreement, announced a statement. Their goal is to foster fintech links between Abu Dhabi and Switzerland and to promote growth and innovation in both markets.

According to SFTA president John Hucker, entrepreneurs, investors and companies will benefit from the connection. He sees opportunities for synergies with topics such as cryptofinance, wealth management, insurance and ethical fintech.

While supporting the development of a fintech ecosystem across the two markets, the partnership will also contribute to the development of a neutral global fintech network.

Richard Teng, CEO of the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of ADGM, sees Switzerland as one of the world’s leading centres for Blockchain and crypto currencies. He believes that start-ups and the business community will benefit from the partnership.
