The Congress wants to create a platform for players in international cooperation in vocational and professional education and training (VPET) to engage in open dialogue and share good practices, according to a statement. It will be held from 6 to 8 June 2018 for a third year in a row.

Some of the workshops topics have already been chosen. For instance, approaches to teacher training, career prospects, and the transfer and adaptation of Swiss VPET to India are on the agenda for Friday 8 June in the Theater Winterthur.

The event organisers are also inviting participants to actively take part in shaping the congress programme. Participants have until 31 July 2017 to submit a proposal for a presentation on one of two topics: Training content or curriculum addressing agility and quality assurance for employability now and in the future, and training opportunities that increase flexibility in VPET systems for individualised education pathways.

The proposals must be submitted in English and the presentations at the congress will also have to be given in English. If a proposal is accepted, the congress fee will be waived for the speaker.
