Press Release

Swiss technology for digital worlds

For the fifth time in a row, Switzerland is taking part in the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Under the motto "swisstech for extended Worlds", 25 young Swiss companies will be showcasing their trendsetting innovations from 5 - 8 January 2023. Switzerland Global Enterprise and Presence Switzerland are organizing Switzerland's presence at this important trade fair - also with the aim of positioning Switzerland as the world's leading location for innovation and technology.

CES Las Vegas

Digital, three- and four-dimensional worlds are gaining strong economic importance worldwide. Leading global corporations conduct intensive research in Switzerland together with the leading Swiss universities and Swiss startups. These players in and from Switzerland therefore make a significant contribution to global development with innovative technologies.

CES in Las Vegas, one of the most important trade fairs in the area of consumer electronics, offers 24 young Swiss companies the opportunity to present their innovations to a tech-savvy global audience. CES 2023 will attract around 2,400 exhibitors and 100,000 visitors, as well as more than 3,500 global media professionals.

Companies will appear under the "swisstech" umbrella

Whether it's a groundbreaking sensor technology to support people with visual impairments, smart garments that health check the wearer, or augmented reality technology to inform patients about surgical procedures: The innovations being presented by the exhibiting startups are also extremely diverse this year.

"We are proud of the strong Swiss delegation in Las Vegas. The startups and representatives of the Swiss innovation parks are exemplary of Switzerland as a location for innovation and technology, and they show that Switzerland is at the forefront of future technologies such as augmented and virtual reality, artificial intelligence and robotics," says Patrik Wermelinger, Chief Investment Promotion Officer at S-GE.

The new technologies will be presented as part of the swisstech appearance, which is being co-organized by Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE) and Presence Switzerland (PRS) and supported by the partners digitalswitzerland, Innosuisse and Swissnex, as well as the Swiss Embassy, the Swiss Business Hub and Swissnex in the USA.

Networking with investors and partners

As the first point of contact for internationalization issues, S-GE, together with the Swiss Business Hub USA, will prepare participating startups specifically for entering the US market. At CES, companies are networked directly with potential business partners or given the opportunity to present themselves to foreign investors and partners. A large number of the startups receive financial support from Innosuisse for their participation in the trade fair.

"swisstech experience" - an immersive, full-body experience at the swisstech Pavilion

Visitors to the swisstech Pavilion (booth number 61344 in Tech West, Eureka Park, Venetian Expo) will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a four-dimensional Switzerland in the "swisstech experience" specially designed for CES Las Vegas and discover Swiss innovations in the process. The swisstech Experience was realized together with the Swiss company RedCube GmbH, also known as trueVRSystems. In addition to this, the Swiss stand will showcase the Swiss XR ecosystem and its contribution to global innovation.

Tech Discovery Mission to "Silicon Beach"

Switzerland Global Enterprise offers interested Swiss companies the opportunity to join the Tech Discovery Mission to Las Vegas and Los Angeles at the same time. After discovering the innovations at CES Las Vegas, the mission participants can witness how a new dynamic ecosystem is gradually emerging in Los Angeles' "Silicon Beach". The mission allows participating companies to connect with well-known American companies.
