BÜCHI Labortechnik wins the 2022 Export Award

The Flawil-based company BÜCHI Labortechnik today was recognized with the Export Award by Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE). The family-owned company sells analytical and testing equipment for pharmaceutical and chemical research and equips laboratories with measuring instruments for quality control in the food and animal feed industries or for environmental analysis. Founded in 1939, the former glass-blowing company has developed into a global high-tech enterprise and market leader. It convinced the jury with its clear market development strategy. The award was presented by Ruth Metzler-Arnold, Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board at S-GE, at the International Trade Forum.

Pokal Export Award

In addition to BÜCHI Labortechnik, the Zug-based WealthTech Altoo and GWF MessSysteme from Lucerne were also nominated for the final. In the end, the family-owned company BÜCHI Labortechnik from Flawil came out on top: “Büchi AG impressed the jury with its clear market development strategy. Thanks to its consistent and graduated organizational development, Büchi is able to provide the necessary expertise in a targeted manner and at the right time in the international target markets, and can thus optimally develop its potential,” says Ralph Siegl, explaining the decision. Siegl is the President of the honorary and independent jury made up of renowned figures from the Swiss business, scientific and media worlds, which evaluates the finalists and selects the winner.

The award ceremony took place at the International Trade Forum, the annual meeting of internationally active Swiss companies, at the KKL in Lucerne. The trophy was presented to BÜCHI by Ruth Metzler-Arnold, Chairwoman of S-GE’s Supervisory Board. “BÜCHI won the Export Award today because the family-owned company with its 20 subsidiaries worldwide stands out in particular thanks to its ability to accommodate regional specificities and requirements, as well as its proximity to its customers,” said Ruth Metzler-Arnold. In addition to a trophy, the winner receives a voucher for export services from S-GE for accessing a new market and a one-year Gold membership. BÜCHI is now allowed to use the “Export Award” label.
