The South American country is well connected in international trade and has free trade agreements with more than 60 countries, including with the EFTA. It is also a member of the Pacific Alliance with Peru, Columbia and Mexico, which encourages the free movement of goods, people and services. Chile is also in continuous discussions with the EFTA seeking to improve trade relations.
The country in particular offers numerous opportunities to Swiss companies in the areas of cleantech, mining, energy and infrastructure.
