Economic Outlook
Nigeria has overtaken South Africa as the strongest economic market on the African continent. On a global scale, the African country can keep up, because it is not only the economically strongest country in Africa, but since the year 2000 on the way among the 30 largest global economies. The population of around 174 million inhabitants offers enormous potential for Swiss companies. Anyone who manages to position themselves properly in Nigeria enjoys a tremendous advantage to undertake further expansion steps into Africa.
