As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, the Space Mission has been postponed from its original date in March 2021.
The German aerospace industry has enjoyed unprecedented success over the last two decades. Since the mid-90’s, industry revenues have more than quadrupled – to over EUR 30 billion in 2019. With over 2’300 companies, employing a workforce of over 100 thousand, the aerospace sector spent around 11 percent of turnover on R&D – making it one of the country’s most innovative industries. Universities with highly specialized aviation programs and research institutions promote industry-specific innovation.
The Space Mission to Germany is a dynamic business trip to some of Germanys big players within the industry, aiming at generating business opportunities and fostering R&D collaborations for Swiss companies in Germany. It is organized by Switzerland Global Enterprise in collaboration with the Swiss Aerospace Cluster.
Despite the pandemic, the branch did not stand still. The German industry offers concrete market opportunities, however, entering the sector is certainly not an easy task.
