Fact-Finding Mission
Swiss Business Delegation to Sikkim and Assam

Swiss Business Delegation to Sikkim and Assam

The Embassy of Switzerland in India, in collaboration with the Swiss Business Hub India and the Swiss Development Cooperation, is pleased to announce a business mission of Swiss and Liechtenstein companies to the North Eastern States of Sikkim and Assam from 13 to 17 February 2023. As India and Switzerland commemorate 75 years of diplomatic relations in 2023, it is befitting that we organize this business mission, especially in light of Prime Minister Modi's Act East policy, the core of which is the North Eastern region.

This business mission will be led by Dr. Ralf Heckner, Ambassador of Switzerland to India, and the primary goal will be to raise awareness about the business opportunities for Swiss companies in the region, as well as to highlight Swiss companies' strong competencies in providing technology and solutions to the region’s most pressing concerns such as climate resilience, sustainable infrastructure, and equitable healthcare.

During this trip, the delegation will visit the cities of Gangtok and Guwahati, with a brief stay in Kolkata. With the aim of providing delegates with well-grounded insights into upcoming prospects and key priority areas, we plan to organize high level meetings with government representatives and officials as well as with private sector stakeholders. Furthermore, we will organise tailor made meetings as per the interests of companies joining the mission.
