Fact-Finding Mission
Swiss Business Delegation Trip to Nepal

Swiss Business Delegation Trip to Nepal

Switzerland Global Enterprise, in conjunction with the Embassy of Switzerland in Nepal, are organizing this first ever business delegation to the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal. The goal of the mission is to introduce the Nepali market and its business opportunities to Swiss and Liechtenstein companies, as well as Swiss and Liechtenstein companies based in India or other parts of Asia.

Swiss and Liechtenstein companies will get a firsthand impression of the Nepali market, its opportunities, and will meet potential partners, customers and other important stakeholders. The mission is under the auspices of the Swiss Embassy in Kathmandu, who will organize and host various activities, to pave the way for a future potential market entry for Swiss and Liechtenstein companies. A key-element of the business delegation trip is networking and opening doors to stakeholders. The mission will last three days, with the option for participants to extend their stay by two more days for individual meetings and activities.

Objective:
The business delegation trip is being jointly organized by the Embassy of Switzerland in Nepal and Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE) with the objective of creating an opportunity for Swiss companies (including those with an existing presence in other parts of South Asia) to get a first-hand experience of Nepal, which includes:

  • Comprehensive overview of Nepal’s economy and private sector activities
  • Sector-specific insights from key players in the private and public sector
  • B2B meetings with potential partners, customers and stakeholders
  • Interactions with senior officials of the Government of Nepal
  • Insights on social and cultural aspects of living, working, and doing business in Nepal
  • Tailor-made programs upon request, following the official delegation program
