Hydrogen Roundtable Asia-Pacific: Potential for Swiss companies in Australia, Japan and Korea

Gain concrete insights into the hydrogen technology needs in Asia Pacific.

S-GE commissioned experts to undertake a sector review to obtain a better understanding of the future drivers, ongoing projects and concrete needs in the hydrogen markets in Australia, Japan and Korea. 

The key findings will be presented to Swiss companies by our experts during our event.

The aim of this seminar is to provide Swiss Companies with business projects and concrete opportunities in the following fields of activities:

  • H2 production
  • Smart grid
  • H2 transportation
  • H2 storage
  • Power generation
  • Heat generation

The event will be held both physically in our office in Renens and online for our experts in the Asia Pacific region. Swiss companies are encouraged to participate physically for networking purposes. However online presence is possible as well. The seminar will be followed by a networking cocktail

This event is organised by S-GE in collaboration with the Trade Point Australia and the Swiss Business Hubs Japan and Korea with the support of Energy Cluster, CleantechAlps, SwissCleantech, Hydropole and Swissmem.

Fuel cell and hydrogen technology expert

His professional goal is to provide sustainable zero-emission solutions for society and to take ships and heavy-duty machinery out of the carbon equation. He worked at the German Aerospace Center in Stuttgart. He went to Japan in 2011 and joined Kyushu University for cutting-edge research on nanomaterial-based membranes in 2013. He obtained his Doctor of Engineering in 2016 and continued to work as research assistant professor. In 2018, he left academia and shifted his work focus towards the decarbonization of heavy-duty machinery and applications.

Bob has extensive experience in business management, business planning, marketing, new product development, and engineering. Before becoming a consultant, Bob used his engineering skills to design and manufacture a variety of items, from heavy engineering applications to small componentry. Having managed large multi-discipline workshops and marketing teams, Bob understands the end-to-end process of getting a new product to market. Bob holds two degrees, a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, and a Bachelor of Behavioural Studies (Psychology). He also holds further qualifications in Marketing and Business Management.

Philip has been assisting companies with their business expansion plans for more than 30 years.  During this time Philip has provided a range of specialist services to international and domestic clients. These include market research, reseller and distribution channel identification, development and management, business improvement reviews, strategic planning, and acquisition searches.  Before establishing Strategy Australia, Philip held senior management positions in large corporations, including Technical Product Manager, Group Marketing and Product Development Manager, Regional General Manager Professional Services, and APAC Regional Managing Director. Philip holds certificates in Mechanical Engineering from England and Australia.  He is an Associate Member of the Australian Marketing Institute, Member of the Australian Computer Society, Member of the Plastics and Chemicals Industries Association (PCIA), a Certified Software Asset Management professional and is a Director of two companies.
