S-GE Event

How to make your market entry in Japan a success

Event: Japan

Japan is considered one of the top five export markets for Swiss companies. Incredible potential driven by strong demand awaits Swiss SMEs in this huge market. Quality awareness, punctuality, efficiency - Japan has a lot in common with Switzerland. And yet, it is one of most difficult of all markets to enter. Exporters face unfamiliar cultural practices, strong state regulation, high-quality product varieties and intensive quality controls.

Impulse Event: Japan

The event on 7 March 2019 in Zurich will provide worthwhile insights and contacts to Swiss SMEs who are planning or in the process of conquering Japan’s growth market. The useful information will help you to negotiate the difficult market entry and give you the edge over the competition in your export project.

Don't miss this opportunity and sign up today

In Japan, things are done differently. Here’s how to equip yourself for internationalization.

The event will show you what you should under no circumstance disregard when planning. We will explain the prevailing regulations, the cultural conditions that should not be underestimated and the importance of maintaining relationships. A representative of the EU will also explain how you can use the free trade agreement between Japan and the EU, which comes into force in 2019, to your advantage.

First-hand experience: don’t make the same mistakes as others

The Swiss joining technology company Fischer Connectors SA will share why and how they set up their company in Japan and how they integrated their distributors in the process. Other SME will also report on their export experiences at the event. Use their tips to quickly identify opportunities or lurking obstacles and take home valuable advice.

A strong network is half the battle

At end of the day, a relaxed aperitif provides you with the ideal platform to exchange ideas with other exporters and experts, make new contacts or cultivate existing ones. S-GE and our event partners JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) and SJCC (Swiss-Japanese Chamber of Commerce) know the right potential business partners for you in Japan. Before the event, we would also be pleased to offer you individual, free consultation sessions with our country experts.

Switzerland Global Enterprise, JETRO and the Swiss-Japanese Chamber of Commerce look forward to seeing you.
